Youth Progressive Association in Taraba (TYPA) is a Non-Governmental Not-for-Profit Youth led organization based in Taraba state, Nigeria. Formed on the 3rd of August, 1996 to be an epi-centre of Youth and Community based organization that seeks to work for a sustainable community development, Gender Policy improvement and empowerment, HIV/AIDS/TB and empowering the person with disabilities and child survival. As a coalition of Youth and community based organization, Youth Progressive Association in Taraba (TYPA) organizes Advocacy, meetings and sensitization to achieve its mission.
Our Objectives
TYPA seeks to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of health, promoting gender equity, poverty reduction, women empowerment, good governance and advocacy to influence policy change. Since 1996, TYPA has steadily gowned through networking to empower its members and to fulfill role, function and objectives. TYPA current programmes includes:-Development of Gender education and Advocacy. Resources mobilization and capacity building. Networking and partnership. Entrepreneurship and skills acquisition. Information sharing. TYPA has actively contributed to development work in Taraba State
Get Involved
New staff will be subject to a probationary period of three months for Project Support Staff and six months for Local Professional Staff. At the conclusion of period, a performance review will be conducted to determine if the relationship should continue. Terms of Reference and policies and procedures will be provided to new staff and standards for satisfactory performance will be discussed and agreed upon. All staff will be issued an Appointment Letter accompanied by Terms of Assignment, which clearly outlines their project assignment, duties, rights and benefits as an employee of TYPA.
